Interior Framing

Which room is this? I don't know. Actually you're looking at the rear corner of the Great Room. The fireplace will be in the corner. Behind the wall is the master bedroom. The room to the right of the master is the walk-in closet.

Better Photo - Walls

We had to take another trip out to the jobsite today, so I took some photos with a proper camera. The winds were nuts today, but they still managed to put up some walls. The wall farthest to the right is the master bedroom rear wall, complete with a huge window - maybe a bit too huge. Oh well. What are those white specks? That's what happens when the on-camera flash reflects off the snowflakes. That's right - snowflakes.

Ok, we're building walls now. Notice that they "stick-build" the walls on the ground then tip them up into place. Sorry about the camera phone photo.

Floor.

Not too exciting, but here's the floor. The framers were delayed a couple of days because the lumber company sent them OSB that had been sitting out at a previous job site. It was bowing and nasty, so they sent it back and had to wait for new.

The other builders in town - Kettle Creek, Bielinski, Miracle Homes, etc., would have surely put the old stuff on our home. It's nice that the framers are working for US.

Foundation, backfilled and ready to go.

The foundation has now cured, and everything is set for framing. It should start on Monday, October 2, but the weather doesn't look good. Oh well.
