Well, here it is - the one acre or so of land that will hold our new home.

It's been a while since we started this whole mess - we started seriously considering building around April 1. We found our builder in June, closed on our house in early August, and just received our building permit a few days ago.

This blog won't be too excited for most, but it's a good way for us to share what's up with family and friends. It'll also be a nice record of the whole construction process.

We don't know when we're breaking ground - our builder hasn't told us a firm date, but it sounded like we'll start next Tuesday due to the holiday.

When will this be done? Probably 6-7 months. That might sound crazy come February.
